Finding A New Career In Your 30’s Is Not Always Good

by Charlie Reese

From the moment we are born, we are all destined to do something. By the time we reach the age of 12, people are already asking us what career path we are going to choose. People are always interested in what our career path is because they want to make sure that someday we will have a secure job or at least a reliable job skill that we can truly count on.

Are you frustrated because you are having a hard time in your career? You are not alone. Every year, multitudes of people worldwide are searching for their favorite job. Leading executives of major corporations are leaving their high end positions for positions that most people would only turn away from.

Recently on the Oprah Winfrey show, a man was a top executive for Microsoft and he decided to leave his job to get into volunteer work. This was amazing since he was earning a lot of money from his job and there was no real reason for him to leave his present line of work. However, something motivated him inside to leave his high end position.

Are you thinking that this is somehow crazy or not using your best judgement? However, when a person reaches the age of 40, something automatically happens within them. A man or a woman begins to realize that their work situation is either making you happy or sad. If it’s making you sad, then the first thing that you want to do is to run away from it. It’s important to understand that a job change may be what you need, but there is no such thing as “the perfect work position”. This is never possible. We would like to imagine our lives being completely whole. However, we often forget that we are only a human being and that we do make errors in our lives. It is important to grow with an understanding of who we are and a whole lot more and to fully realize that we are not alone and that we have a lot to offer other people. However, every position in this life will get us bored at some point or another.

People often leave their high paying work positions to perform volunteer work and then find out that it was not so great after all. It is important for you to make an important career life decision when you leave one situation and go to another. Allowing yourself to fully understand your job is the only way in which you can honestly ask yourself the most important questions in your life. Ask yourself why you are doing what you are now doing and how you are actually going to go into the world and make it better.

Do you feel more whole and sound? You actually begin to grow and you begin to learn more about your life. A job is never going to make you feel fulfilled. It can give you temporary fulfillment and eventually you will get sick and tired of doing the same old thing over and over again. When you begin to feel tired of what you are doing, then it is definitely time to add some fun into your life. A long vacation or a temporary leave of absence will usually do the trick. This will help you to grow and to understand yourself a whole lot more.
